The film opens on Tien (Tony Jaa) sleeping with a torture collar around his head and arms. He is awoken by guards who splash him with water, before removing the collar. Tien then has chains wrapped around his forearms, and is tortured with Kendo sticks struck across his body, and choked with bamboo. After he attempts to flee, he is further restrained, and on the orders of Lord Rajasena, his elbows and knees are snapped, before he is further beaten bloody.

As Lord Rajasena experiences nightmares because of a curse that has been placed on him, Tien’s guerilla fighters attempt to retrieve Tien, but the Crow Ghost (Dan Chupong) appears and kills them. Lord Rajasena then offers to hire the Crow Ghost, but Crow Ghost refuses his offer and counters with an offer to remove the curse upon Rajasena. Rajasena orders his men to decapitate Tien, but before this can be carried out, a man arrives with a message on paper indicating that he will take the corpse, much to Rajasena’s ire. The messenger returns Tien’s corpse to the Kana Khone villagers, where Pim and Mhen are present. The village is then attacked, but the invaders are repelled, and the corpse preserved. Feeling guilty over what happened to Tien, Master Bua shaves his head and becomes a Buddhist monk.

Pim recreates a sculpture of the Ong Bak head, and brings Tien back to life through reincarnation, though Tien, still crippled from his beating and requiring a cane to walk, decides to commit suicide for his failure to avenge his father, but is dissuaded by Mhen. Tien then embarks on a rehabilitation regimen with the help of Master Bua.

Rajasena visits the Crow at his dilapidated temple in an attempt to remove his curse, but the Crow reveals that his true motive is to usurp Rajasena and claim his power as King. When Rajasena tries to kill the Crow, the Crow laughs and ejects him from the temple, and then dispatches Rajasena’s guards as well, before decapitating Rajasena. Rajasena’s severed head curses the Crow with a miserable fate, but the Crow, now king, merely smiles. Read more

Spy extraordinaire Derek Flint (James Coburn), ex-agent of Z.O.W.I.E. (Zonal Organization for World Intelligence and Espionage), is dragged out of retirement to deal with the threat of Galaxy, a world-wide organization led by a trio of Utopian mad scientists: Doctor Krupov (Rhys Williams), Doctor Wu (Peter Brocco), and Doctor Schneider (Benson Fong). Despairing of the world’s governments ever getting their acts together, they demand that the governments all capitulate to Galaxy. To enforce their demands, they initiate earthquakes, volcanoes, storms, and other natural disasters with their climate-control apparatus.

Flint is motivated to take them on, not by the pleas of his former boss Lloyd Cramden (Lee J. Cobb), but due to a preemptive assassination attempt by Galaxy’s section head Gila (Gila Golan), who covertly replaces a restaurant’s harpist while Flint is dining with his four live-in “playmates”: Leslie (Shelby Grant), Anna (Sigrid Valdis), Gina (Gianna Serra), and Sakito (Helen Funai). Gila uses a harp string as a bow to fire a poisoned dart, which misses Flint, but hits Cramden. Flint pulls the poison out of the wound, saving Cramden’s life.

The discovery of a chemical trace on the dart takes Flint to Marseilles for bouillabaisse. In one of Marseilles’ raunchiest strip clubs he stages a brawl to gain some useful information from “famous” Agent 0008, who is investigating the narcotics trade that is keeping Galaxy in business. Galaxy agent Hans Gruber (Michael St. Clair) is in the club enjoying his favorite soup while waiting to rendezvous with Gila. Gila sends Gruber to ambush Flint in the lavatory. Flint fights and ultimately kills Gruber in a toilet stall, while Gila exits the scene – leaving behind a cold cream jar she has booby-trapped with explosives. Flint detects the trap and chases the unwitting bystanders from the club before he detonates the bomb. Read more

The film describes two conflicts that take place around Flagstone, a fictional town in the American Old West: a land battle related to construction of a railroad, and a mission of vengeance against a cold-blooded killer.

The main storyline revolves around a struggle for Sweetwater, a piece of land near Flagstone containing the region’s only water source. The land was bought by Brett McBain (Wolff), who foresaw that the railroad would have to pass through that area to provide water for the steam engines that power the locomotives. When railroad tycoon Morton (Ferzetti) learns of this, he sends his hired gun Frank (Fonda) to intimidate McBain, and Frank kills McBain and his three children, planting evidence on the scene to frame the bandit Cheyenne (Robards) and his gang. By the time McBain’s new bride Jill (Cardinale) arrives from New Orleans, the family is dead and she is the owner of the land.

Meanwhile, a mysterious harmonica-playing gunman (Bronson), whom Cheyenne later dubs “Harmonica”, pursues Frank. In the film’s opening scene, Harmonica kills three men sent by Frank to kill him, and, in a roadhouse on the way to Sweetwater, he informs Cheyenne that the three gunfighters he killed appeared to be posing as Cheyenne’s men. The people then dig a ditch by hand almost two miles long to divert water from a creek to irrigate the crops. The film ends with the people celebrating wildly in the water then harvesting the crops, not showing how they managed to direct the narrow stream of water over the huge plain to evenly irrigate the crops. Sensitive, club-footed artist Philip Carey is an Englishman who has been studying painting in Paris for four years. His art teacher tells him his work lacks promise, so he returns to London to become a medical doctor, but his moodiness and chronic self-doubt make it difficult for him to keep up in his schoolwork.

Philip falls passionately in love with vulgar, illiterate tearoom waitress Mildred Rogers, even though she is disdainful of his club-foot and his obvious interest in her. Although he is attracted to the anemic and pale-faced woman, she is manipulative and cruel toward him when he asks her out. Her constant response to his romantic invitations is “I don’t mind,” an expression so disinterested that it infuriates him – which only causes her to use it all the more. His daydreams about her (her image appears over an illustration in his medical school anatomy textbook, and a skeleton in the classroom is transformed into Mildred) cause him to be distracted from his studies, and he fails his medical examinations.

When Philip proposes to her, Mildred declines, telling him she will be marrying a loutish salesman Emil Miller instead. The self-centered Mildred vindictively berates Philip with nasty insults for becoming romantically-interested in her. Read more

Geoff Carter (Cary Grant) is a pilot and the manager of a small, barely-solvent air service owned by “Dutchy” Van Reiter (Sig Ruman) carrying mail from the port town of Barranca (Barrancabermeja) in Colombia over the Andes Mountains. Bonnie Lee (Jean Arthur), a piano-playing entertainer, arrives one day and becomes infatuated with Carter, despite his fatalistic attitude about the dangerous mountain flying, and stays on in Barranca (not at Carter’s invitation, as he insists on telling her).

The situation is complicated by the appearance of Bat Kilgallen (Richard Barthelmess) and his wife Judy (Rita Hayworth). Kilgallen is a pilot shunned by other fliers because he once bailed out of a plane, leaving his mechanic—the brother of ‘Kid’ Dabb (Thomas Mitchell), Carter’s best friend—to be killed in the resulting crash. Carter needs pilots badly, but he is unwilling to hire Kilgallen even so. However, when Judy begs him to give her husband a chance, he gives in, with the understanding that Kilgallen will get the most dangerous flights.

Dutchy will secure a lucrative government mail contract if he can provide reliable service during a trial period. On the last day of the trial, bad weather closes a mountain pass. Bat and Kid try flying over the mountains in a new Ford Trimotor instead. However, they are unable to climb high enough. On the way back, birds crash into the airplane, paralyzing Kid. Bat refuses to bail out and manages to land the burning plane. Kid dies, but not before telling Geoff of Bat’s heroism.

Bonnie finally gives up on Geoff and bids him goodbye. He offers to toss a coin to decide: heads, she stays; tails, she leaves. Then the weather clears; Geoff rushes out to secure the all-important contract. Bonnie is unwilling to decide her life so haphazardly, until she sees that the coin has heads on both sides. Read more

Everyone involved in the situation winds up sailing to San Marcos, where another complication arises, when Lucky falls for Cynthia.
